RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, SEPTEMBER 21, 2024: National Service Scheme volunteers belonging to the Government Degree College, Gambhiraopet, Rajanna-Sircilla district, organised the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ programme on their college premises by taking up the removal of weeds, shrubs and other garbage and plastic material on Saturday.
Under the guidance of Principal V Vijaya Lakshmi and NSS programme officer Paka Dharmapuri, others participated in the cleanliness drive on the premises of campus.
Speaking on the occasion, the College Principal called upon the volunteers to ensure the college premises were clean and tidy without giving scope for the mosquitoes to breed and spread deadly dengue and mosquito-borne fevers.
Later, she administered the pledge to the students to ensure cleanliness. IQAC coordinator Anjaneyulu, TSKC convenor Sravan Kumar, women empower cell coordinator V Vani, faculty members Adi Vishnu, K V Bixmaiah, Manohar, Srinivas, Krishna Prasad and others were also present.
