

JAGTIAL, APRIL 07, 2025: National Service Scheme of Government Degree College for Women, Jagtial, in association with the Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGASNB) has conducted an anti-drug awareness programme aimed to educate the students on the ill-effects of drug abuse and its impact on society on the college premises on Monday.

Participating as Chief Guest, TGANB Inspector of Karimnagar Krishnamurthy educated the students with the current threat of drug’s in youth and how it is effecting the person, family and society quoting live examples and warned the students to stay away from drugs and also if anyone is identified as drug abuser, he advised students to call 1908 and inform the ANB police.
The programme was presided over by Incharge Principal T Pramod Kumar, NSS POs N Sangeeta Rani, D Sujatha, IQAC coordinator N Vasavi, and other faculty members exhorted the youth to actively participate in the state government’s campaign against drugs and spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. They said that this menace could not be rooted out without the active involvement of every person in society. They also encouraged students to support those struggling with addiction by guiding them to join de-addiction and rehabilitation centers, helping them start anew.
