HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 23, 2024: The Commissionerate of Collegiate Education (CCE) has signed MoU with UMEED, a women’s empowerment organisation to impart training to girl students of various government degree colleges in Hyderabad city.
Accordingly, the New Government Degree College for Women, Golkonda, Hyderabad was among them. On this occasion, UMEED team organised an awareness programme to the girl students of the college on Monday.
Hyderabad based UMEED, a non-governmental organisation, is working for women empowerment from various socio-economic backgrounds and providing training in various activities for the young women. The training programme aims to make women well equipped with job readiness, skills, strong mind set and exposure to the professional world that making them personally, socially and economically empowered.
College Principal T Sree Lakshmi, UMEED cofounder Gouri Mahendra, WEC coordinator Sucheta, Career Guidance and Placement cell coordinator B Srinivas participated in the programme.
Principal Sree Lakshmi said that the UMEED would provide training to 100 students in two batches of 50 each. She called upon the students to utilise the opportunity and settle in their chosen career.
