RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, FEBRUARY 15, 2025: As part of the ongoing National Girl Child Day celebrations from January 24 to March 8 (International Women’s Day), the students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women in Shatrajpalli of Vemulawada mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district organised a science exhibition on Saturday.
The central theme of the event, “Empowering Girls to Lead the Future,” focuses on unlocking the potential of students at TGSWREIS and inspiring them to rise above social challenges and reach new heights in their lives. This initiative was all about encouraging young women to explore the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and paving the way for their empowerment and leadership in the future.
One of the highlights was the second-week focus on Science and Technology, where students actively participated in a “Girls in STEM” exhibition. This included a Science Fair, power point presentation and a poster presentation on “Technology for Skills Development.” The event saw vibrant participation from Principal K. Lavanya, Vice Principal B. Sumalatha, Cultural Committee Coordinator S. Sandhyarani, programme mentors Ayesha Fatima and K. Anusha, G. Swapna, A. Anusha, Ch. Nirmala Hrudaya, V. Madhuri, M. Alekya, R. Deepthi, the teaching staff, and the enthusiastic students.
