KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 24, 2025: The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunuru, Karimnagar town, celebrated National Girl Child Day on the college premises on Friday.
On this occasion, Principal T Malathi, Vice Principal G Sumatha, faculty members Padmaja, Erroju Venkateshwarlu, NSS Programme Officer K Geetha Rani, Sandhya Rani and others said that the day is celebrated to spread awareness about the inequalities faced by girls in Indian society and to raise awareness about the rights of the girl child and the importance of female education, health and nutrition.
The day is in line with various campaigns and programmes of the Indian Government, including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Save the Girl Child, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana etc.
RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: The NSS unit of Government Degree College, Sircilla, celebrated National Girl Child Day on Friday. College Principal T Shankar explained the importance of celebrating National Girl Child Day and added that the womenfolk were excelling in all fields and competing on par with the menfolk in all sectors.
NSS District Nodal Officer M Shakuntala said that the womenfolk were excelling in all fields through education. Vice principal T Lavanya, faculty member Shoba Rani, Prasad, Narsaiah, Karuna, Physical director Sridhar Rao and others were also present.
