But the Film Bhavan will not allow to continuation of the legacy and social service activities of Srinivas from its premises
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 20, 2025: Several peoples’ organisations, which had failed to even celebrate the birth anniversary of Lok Satta Seenanna albeit former UBI branch manager Naredla Srinivas, have come forward to celebrate the unveiling the statue of Mr Srinivas on the premises of Film Bhavan, which was also taken shape with the initiatives taken up by Srinivas through the support of government and philanthropists.

In a statement here on Tuesday, Karimnagar Film Society president Ponnam Prabhakar and secretary Lakshmi Goutham stated that Minister for Transport and BC welfare Ponnam Prabhakar would unveil the statue of Naredla Srinivas on May 23 at Film Bhavan. Collector Pamela Satpathy, Lok Satta leaders Prakash Holla, M Gangadhar, R Venkateshwar Rao and others would attend the function.
Irony is that the Karimnagar Film Society is not allowing the activities of Lok Satta Udyama Samstha from the premises of Film Bhavan, which was constructed under the supervision of Lok Satta founder president N Srinivas. The so-called leaders of Lok Satta Udyama Samstha, Karimnagar Film Society, Karimnagar Consumer Council, RTI Protection Forum, Election Watch and others only express lip sympathy on the services of Srinivas on his birth and death anniversaries.
The proposal to install a statue of Srinivas was taken up three years ago, and it is now conceived for inauguration. That too a bust-size statue and creating lots of hype to showcase their regards to Seenanna.
The real tribute to Seenanna would be achieved only by continuing his crusade against corruption and striving for the welfare of society. It is time for the leaders to rethink and allow the Film bhavan premises for running the activities of Lok Satta to fulfil the dreams and aspirations of Seenanna.
