

The first batch of pilgrims leaves for Madinah from Hyderabad and Lucknow

NEW DELHI, APRIL 29, 2025: Union Minister for Minority Affairs and Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju extended his heartfelt wishes to all 1,22,518 pilgrims undertaking the sacred Haj journey. The first flights took off with 288 pilgrims from Lucknow and 262 pilgrims from Hyderabad.
In his X post, the Union Minister tweeted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Government of India remains committed to ensuring a smooth and seamless Haj pilgrimage. He also prayed for a safe, blessed and spiritually enriching pilgrimage.
As many as 7,000 pilgrims from Telangana state are expected to attend Haj this year. There are approximately 31 batches of pilgrims from the Telangana state, and over 200 pilgrims have taken the first flight to Madinah on Tuesday. Several pilgrims from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states have arrived at the Haj House in Nampally before travelling to Madinah.
