KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 10, 2026: Integrated Karimnagar district MIM president Syed Gulam Ahmed Hussain has urged Minister for Minorities Welfare Md Azharuddin to take over several hundred acres of Waqf lands encroached in various parts of integrated Karimnagar district.
The MIM leader met the Minister at his residence in Hyderabad on Saturday and submitted a petition in this regard. Requesting the Minister to take over the Waqf lands, the MIM leader said that they were ready to show the encroachments in the integrated Karimnagar district. He alleged that the government was showing huge funds in the budget for the welfare of Minorities, but in reality it was not being done.
He said that the government should take measures to ensure that the respective Collectors conduct review meetings about the implementation of various welfare schemes for the minorities at least once in six months. He also urged the government for the allocation of lands for the Eidgahs and Qabrastans in the Muslim-dominated towns, mandals and division centres.
