
Participates in the ground-breaking for laying the CC road in front of the main entrance of the colony
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 28, 2025: Manakondur Legislator Dr Kavvampalli Satyanarayana and Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA) Chairman Komatireddy Narender Reddy have participated in the ground-breaking ceremony for the laying of CC road for Rs 10 lakhs from SUDA funds in front of the main entrance of the Journalists colony in Karimnagar town on Saturday.

Accordingly, the VIPs, along with the journalists, participated in the ground-breaking ceremony. The journalists apprised the VIPs that the site for the Karimnagar journalists’ cooperative housing society was allocated by the Congress government in the year 2006 under the leadership of former Minister M Satyanarayana Rao. However, since then, there has been no progress on providing basic amenities such as roads, drains, lights, etc.
The dignitaries visited the site and expressed concern over the growth of the shrubs and other weeds. The Manakondur MLA immediately called Karimnagar Municipal Commissioner Praful Desai and instructed to remove the shrubs. Accordingly, the MCK commissioner said that he would deploy two machines to remove the shrubs and weeds and clear the premises of the journalists’ colony site.
Later, the SUDA chairman promised to lay internal roads in the colony and take all measures to provide other basic amenities for the journalists to construct houses and reside comfortably. Journalists N Shekhar, G Srinivas, E Ravinder, K Vijayender Reddy, K M Dayashankar, Imam, Prem and others were also present.
