KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 15, 2024: The Jyotishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (autonomous) on the outskirts of Karimnagar town celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on Thursday.
JITS chairman J Sagar Rao hoisted the national flag along with Principal Dr KS Rao, Dean PK Vaishali and others and paid homage to the brave martyrs of the country.
On this occasion, Mr Sagar Rao explained the importance of freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom from the slavery of British rulers. He encouraged the students to remain committed to the welfare and solidarity of the nation.
On this occasion, the college management distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions, such as the essay writing competition. K Nandini, B Tech third year, secured first prize and Ch Chandu, B Tech third year secured second prize.
In the Tech Evolution quiz; S Madhav and J Sai Chaitanya, B Tech third-year students, secured first prize and V Vyshali, B Rishika and A Sanjana, all B Tech third-year students, secured second prize. In the digital poster expo; T Venu Madhavi and Ch Vyshnani, B Tech second-year students, secured first prize and B Navya Shree and P Varshini, B Tech second-year students, secured second prize.
