

“Telangana Saraswatha Parishad’s efforts in the reconstruction of Telangana language and literature are commendable”, says Dr Sanjay Kumar

JAGTIAL, APRIL 25, 2025: Under the aegis of the Telangana Saraswatha Parishad, Hyderabad, the book release event of “Comprehensive Profile of Jagtial District,” a compilation of essays by various writers on the language, literature, and multiple aspects related to Jagtial district, was held on Friday at the Government Women’s Degree College (Autonomous), Jagtial.
The event began with tributes paid to the innocent victims who lost their lives in inhumane terrorist attacks. The chief guest of the program and the one who unveiled the book, Jagtial MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar, expressed his happiness and stated, “The Telangana Saraswatha Parishad is driven by a diamond-strong resolve. Whether it is promoting the Telugu language, culture, or literature, they have always completed every initiative they’ve undertaken. Their role in the reconstruction of Telangana language and literature is praiseworthy. It is my honour to unveil the book Comprehensive Profile of Jagtial District.”
He went on to congratulate all the contributing writers and acknowledged the efforts of Dr. Jurra Chennayya, General Secretary of the Telangana Saraswatha Parishad, and all the responsible members of the Parishad for bringing this book to life. Presiding over the event, Dr. Jurra Chennayya, General Secretary of the Telangana Saraswatha Parishad, remarked: “Since the time of the Nizam, the Parishad has been at the forefront of protecting the Telugu language, literature, and culture”.
Following the formation of 33 new districts in Telangana, the Parishad took up the initiative to document the historical and literary essence of each district in the form of comprehensive volumes. Today’s unveiling of the Comprehensive Profile of Jagtial District stands as a historical moment that recognises the literary contributions of writers from various fields.”
He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the college Principal K. Ramakrishna, Head of Telugu Department Pramod Kumar, and faculty member G. Srilatha, for hosting the programme with great effort and enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion, the college Principal K. Ramakrishna said, “This book, unveiled today, will serve as a credible reference for future generations regarding Jagtial district’s contribution to Telangana’s language and literature. We are grateful to the Telangana Saraswatha Parishad for choosing our college to host this remarkable event.”
Later, K. Ramu, Jagtial District Education Officer; core committee members of the book project — **Kookatla Tirupati, **Boorla Chandrashekhar, **Thirunagari Sharath Chandra, former Jagtial Municipal Chairman **Aduvala Jyothi, **Giri Nagabhushan, and G Srilatha (Secretary, CPDC of the college) — shared their messages and reflections.
All the essay contributors of the Comprehensive Profile of Jagtial District were felicitated with shawls, mementoes, and copies of the book by MLA Dr. Sanjay Kumar on behalf of the Telangana Saraswatha Parishad.
The event was attended by faculty members G. Chandrayya, Varaprasad, M.A. Raheem, N Sangeeta Rani, Vasavi, Neeraja, Mallikarjun, and Jamuna, along with writers and students.
