KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 31, 2025: Students of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunur, Karimnagar town, celebrated International Zebra Day by organising a quiz programme by the Zoology department on the prevailing environmental issues on Friday.
Stating that the Zebra is easily recognized by its distinctive black and white stripes, the speakers said that these animals are becoming increasingly vulnerable due to environmental degradation and human population growth. The disturbance of an animal’s natural habitat leads to its endangered status. This event is a great opportunity to spread the word about this endangered species and look for solutions to help keep it alive.
On this occasion, students actively participated in the quiz competitions and won accolades for their instant responses to various questions. The teachers commended the students for their concern for the environment. Principal T Malathi, Vice Principal G Samatha, Zoology department head Kalyani, faculty Imroze, Sandhya Rani and others were also present.
