KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 21, 2024: Students of Bhagavathi High School in Bhagathnagar and Arvintree high school in Vasudeva colony in Karimnagar town have celebrated the International Day of Yoga and World Music Day with lots of enthusiasm on their respective schools premises on Friday.
Bringing together the goodness of Yoga & Music, the students performed various Yoga asanas and World Music Day, marking the significance of peace and healing powers of both these mediums. The students stated that anyone could destress and enjoy a few hours of soulful morning by doing Yoga and listening to the soothing music.
All members of the school joined for the yoga session with Chairman B Ramana Rao and Correspondent B Vijaya Lakshmi and teachers participating in the session. On this occasion, Mr Ramana Rao said that physical fitness should always be a priority for all and yoga is the best way to keep oneself physically and psychologically strong especially in the present challenging situation.
The physical instructors demonstrated various asanas followed by ‘omkar’ chanting. Warm up exercises were performed by the students and teachers and the importance of these was also explained simultaneously. The correspondent Vijaya Lakshmi emphasised the importance of yoga and motivated the students and parents to make that an important part of their lives.
As part of the World Music day, the students presented cultural programmes of singing songs and explaining the importance of various musical importance and how it soothes the heart and soul with various ragas.
