KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 21, 2024: The International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students of Alphores High School, Kothapalli, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town in association with 9 Telangana NCC battalion with great enthusiasm on Friday.
Warm-up exercises were conducted and the students practiced and performed sitting and standing Yoga asanas under the guidance of Yoga expert Laxman. The students and teachers made posters on different types of yoga asanas and the different steps of Surya namaskar.
Speaking on the occasion, Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy enlightened the importance of doing different yoga asanas and its health benefits. Educating the students about many benefits of early rising and practicing yoga, he said that the yoga helps the students relieve from stress and helps in the improvement of concentration and memory power.
The experts led the session by demonstrating pranayam and several other yoga asanas. The session concluded with synchronised chanting of shlokas and aum dhwani. NCC officers Pujasri and Surya Prakash, yoga expert Laxman, teachers and others were also present.
