HYDERABAD, JUNE 21, 2024: The tenth International Day of Yoga was observed with great enthusiasm by the cadets and staff of 1 Telangana Girls Bn NCC, Secunderabad. The event was celebrated in the grounds amidst the Heritage buildings lawns of Telangana Mahila Viswavidyalayam (First Women’s University in the State of Telangana) Koti. Around 550 cadets of 1 Telangana Girls Bn NCC, being commanded by Lt Col Sangeeta Kumari, have participated in the event with fervour.
The event is coordinated by Brij Bhushan Purohit, founder and President of “Namaste India Foundation” and Gen Secretary of Telangana Youth Association. Purohit guided the cadets through the standard Yoga Protocol through his meticulous instructions and demonstrations that is both effective and calming at once. He further urged the cadets to commit themselves for balance of mind and body through the practice of Yoga.
This year’s theme of “Yoga for Self and Society” underscores Yoga’s profound impact on personal Health and also social well-being. Administrative Officer of the Battalion, Maj Chamundi, Lieutenant Deepika Rao, ANO of TMV, have participated in the event along with other staff of the Battalion.
