RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, AUGUST 15, 2026: The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Siricilla, at Shatrajupalli, on Saturday.
The programme was organised by the Cultural Committee, with students adding colour to the celebrations through beautiful patriotic songs, dances and other cultural performances. Their enthusiastic participation filled the campus with a strong sense of patriotism and pride.
As part of the celebrations, prizes were distributed to students who excelled in games, essay writing, elocution, singing and other competitions. Fun and engaging games were also conducted for the faculty members, making the celebrations enjoyable for both students and staff.
Students who showed commitment and responsibility in different areas were specially appreciated with certificates for highest attendance, academic excellence, mess monitoring, diet management, hygiene responsibilities and college council activities.
Faculty members who achieved 100% results in their respective subjects were honoured with appreciation certificates. Faculty members who contributed to the smooth functioning of the college through various responsibilities, including the Examination Branch, Cultural Committee, Health and Hygiene Committee and Academic Leadership, were also recognised and appreciated.
The contribution of the support staff was also given special importance. The sweeping and sanitation staff, mess workers, watchwomen and other supporting staff were felicitated for their sincere and continuous efforts in keeping the college clean, safe and well maintained.
Principal P.S.R. Sharma, Vice Principal K. Lavanya and all the faculty members actively participated in the celebrations and encouraged the students throughout the programme.
The celebrations concluded on a happy and patriotic note, with appreciation for everyone who contributed to making the programme meaningful and memorable. The event truly reflected the spirit of unity, responsibility, dedication and service.
