KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 12, 2024: Former Minister and Siddipet legislator T Harish Rao has campaigned on behalf BRS contestant and former MP B Vinod Kumar from the parliament constituency by conducting a roadshow and addressing a road side meeting in Karimnagar town on Friday night.
Flanked by former Minister and Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar, BRS contestant from Karimnagar parliament constituency B Vinod Kumar, Karimnagar Mayor Y Sunil Rao and other leaders, Mr Harish Rao participated in the road show from Mankammathota Old labour adda to the Ramnagar cross roads where he addressed a meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Harish Rao claimed the Karimnagar town had developed only during the 10 years of BRS regime. Stating that Mr Vinod Kumar had ensured Smart City status to Karimnagar town and taken up developmental works to the tune of Rs 1,000 crore, he said that Mr Vinod Kumar was instrumental in cable-stayed bride and Manair river front in Karimnagar town.
He claimed that the BRS government had constructed an IT tower, flyover bridge at Karimnagar railway station to ease traffic problem for road users proceeding to Teegalaguttapalli, Karimnagar to Manoharabad railway line, construction of synthetic track at Ambedkar stadium, TTD temple at a cost of Rs 25 crore etc.
He alleged that Karimnagar MP and BJP National general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar had failed to secure single paise for the development of Vemulawada and Kondagattu temple shrines. He also charged that Bandi Sanjay Kumar had failed to secure IIIT college to Karimnagar town, which was sanctioned during Vinod Kumar regime as MP.
He flayed the Congress government for taking any measures to protect the withering of crops and solve drinking water problem in Karimnagar district. He demanded the government to fulfill the promise of providing Rs 500 per quintal as bonus to the paddy farmerse.
