HYDERABAD, MARCH 11, 2025: With the soaring temperature in the state, the schools in Telangana will be functioning only half-day from March 15 to April 23, 2025, and classes will be conducted from 8 am to 12.30 pm.
Highly placed sources said that the School Education department has decided to declare half-day schools in view of severe heat conditions and temperatures further going up. The orders will be released very soon and will apply to all the government, private and aided schools in the state. The mid-day meals in the government-run institutions will be provided at 12.30 pm.
The last working day for the 2024-25 is April 23. Schools will break for summer vacation from April 24 to June 11, and they will reopen for the fresh academic year on June 12.
