HYDERABAD, Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Varma participated as the Chief Guest in the Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day Celebration held at the Raj Bhavan of Telangana state on Friday (24.01.2025).
The Governor extended greetings to the people of Uttar Pradesh on their Statehood Day, particularly acknowledging those residing in Telangana and contributing to its development through various professions and businesses. He conveyed gratitude to them on behalf of the people of Telangana for their role in the State’s progress.
The Governor highlighted the historical ties between Uttar Pradesh and Hyderabad. He also lauded the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, emphasizing its role in fostering cultural unity across the nation.
Describing Uttar Pradesh as the heart of India, the Governor praised its vibrant culture, ancient traditions, and profound spiritual heritage. He noted the significance of landmarks such as Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama; Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna; Varanasi; and the Triveni Sangam.
Distinguished speakers, including Burra Venkatesham, Chairman, TGPSC, Ravi Gupta, Special Chief Secretary, Home Department, Dr Shashank Goel, Director-General of Dr MCR HRD, Ajay Mishra, Chairman, IRCS; Shalini Mishra, Member of the Central Administrative Tribunal, Hyderabad, Col Anupam Singh Aditya Om, Film Actor, addressed the gathering, sharing their insights on the occasion.
Other participants included esteemed guests of Uttar Pradesh origin settled in Hyderabad, G Pallavi, Deputy Secretary to the Governor, senior officials, and staff of Raj Bhavan. The Governor and the First Lady of the State interacted with the attendees over high tea.
