
JAGTIAL, MAY 20, 2026: As part of the prestigious “Prajapalana – Pragathi Pranalika” programme initiated by the Government of Telangana, a grand Job Mela was organised on Wednesday in collaboration with at SKNR Government Arts & Science College in collaboration with the District Youth and Sports Department and the District Employment Department. The programme aimed at providing employment opportunities and career guidance to unemployed youth and job aspirants from Jagtial and nearby regions.
The inaugural session was attended by Additional Collector Raja Goud as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasised the importance of acquiring employability skills in the present highly competitive world. He stated that, along with academic qualifications, computer knowledge, communication skills, technical expertise, and professional attitude are essential for securing employment opportunities in reputed companies. He encouraged the youth to continuously upgrade their skills according to the changing requirements of industries and corporate sectors. He further remarked that today’s youth must become adaptable, confident, and technology-oriented to succeed in their careers.
District Employment Officer B Sathemma addressed the job aspirants and advised them to focus on improving their technical skills, personality development, and communication abilities. She said that many companies are actively searching for skilled and efficient candidates, and there is a huge demand for talented youth in various sectors. She motivated the students and unemployed youth to utilise such Job Melas effectively and prepare themselves to meet industry expectations. She also appreciated the efforts of the college management for organising a meaningful employment-oriented programme for the benefit of students and local youth.

Several reputed companies participated in the Job Mela and conducted recruitment interviews for the candidates. The participating organisations included KL Technical Services, PhonePe, Krushi Vigyan Fertilisers, Sriram Life Insurance, Niva Bupa Insurance, and Premiere Health Care Services. Representatives of these companies interacted with the candidates, explained available job opportunities, and conducted preliminary screening and interviews. Around 60 job aspirants attended the Job Mela and actively participated in the recruitment process.
Speaking on the occasion, College Principal Prof. A. Ashok stated that the institution has always been committed to the holistic development of students by focusing not only on academic excellence but also on career development and employability enhancement. He emphasised that the college regularly conducts skill development programmes, awareness sessions, career guidance activities, and placement drives to empower students and prepare them for future careers. He appreciated the support extended by the District Administration, Employment Department, and participating companies in making the programme successful.
DYSO Ravikumar highlighted the importance of industry-academia collaboration in creating better employment opportunities for students. He encouraged the youth to remain focused, disciplined, and determined in achieving their career goals.
The programme was coordinated under the guidance of NCC Lt. P. Raju, Associate Professor, NCC Officer, and TSKC Coordinator, who played an active role in organising the Job Mela and coordinating with various companies and departments.
Vice Principal Prof. A. Srinivas, faculty members K. Srinivas, A. Govardhan, K. Surender, GVR Sai Madhukar, Rajitha, Pramod, Divya Rani, Kavitha, Mahesh, NCC cadets, students, and large number of job aspirants participated enthusiastically in the programme and contributed to its grand success.
