GDC Jagtial launches breast cancer awareness campaign by wearing pink

JAGTIAL, OCTOBER 18, 2024: In order to create awareness about breast cancer, the Department of Zoology and Health Club of Government Degree College for women, Jagtial, the faculty members wore pink on Friday.

Wear It Pink is an annual event that invites people to wear pink clothing or accessories to show their support for breast cancer awareness and research. This vibrant and positive campaign aims to raise awareness about breast cancer, encourage early detection, and raise funds for breast cancer research and support services. Wear It Pink is an opportunity for individuals, schools, workplaces, and communities to unite in a colorful display of solidarity and commitment to ending breast cancer.

On this occasion, the HOD of Zoology department Neeraja created the awareness about the breast cancer and how to perform the screening test by themselves at home and advised for a stress free and healthy lifestyle. The incharge principal Dr T Pramod Kumar emphasised on early detection and it’s curing chances. Vice principal Chandraiah, IQAC coordinator Vasavi , staff secretary N Sangeeta Rani, faculty members D Sujatha, Varaprasad, Ramachandram, Sunita, Jyotsna, Laxman, Naresh, Jamuna, Irfana Sushmita , Samatha, Veena , Mahender Reddy and others were also present.
