KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026: Former Peddapalli MP Gotte Bhoopathy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sanction a Central University in the industrial coal belt region of Godavarikhani in Peddapalli district.
In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister and a copy of which was released to the media here on Tuesday, Mr Bhoopathy said that the establishment of the central university in the coal belt region of Godavarikhani would benefit the children of the employees of Singareni Collieries Company Limited, NTPC Ramagundam, Ramagundam Fertiliser Corporation Limited (RFCL), and the adjoining Singareni thermal power project in Jaipur and other allied sectors.
The establishment of the Central University in the Godavarikhani or Ramagundam regions would help the poor students of the north Telangana region with quality education, he stated.
