WARANGAL, SEPTEMBER 15, 2026: Engineers’ Day was celebrated at the University College of Engineering & Technology for Women (UCETW), Kakatiya University, on Tuesday, commemorating the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
D Rajin Kumar, Assistant Divisional Engineer, Warangal Circle, who attended as Chief Guest, advised students to develop discipline, technical skills and a strong work ethic. He encouraged them to prepare systematically for opportunities in UPSC, TGPSC, TGGENCO and TGNPDCL, and urged them to draw inspiration from Sir M. Visvesvaraya and contribute to nation-building.
Principal K. Bikshalu stressed the importance of emerging technologies, skill development, leadership and research orientation. Academic Coordinator T. Archana highlighted the need for communication skills and preparation for competitive examinations.
EEE In-charge Venkatesh Toorpati said the role of women in engineering is growing steadily and encouraged students to use technical education for women’s empowerment and national development.
Faculty members, RUSA Fellows, non-teaching staff and a large number of students participated in the programme.
