KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 13, 2024: Students of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women, Nagunuru, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, paid floral tributes to Praja kavi (people’s poet) and Padma Vibhushan awardee Kaloji Narayana Rao on his death anniversary on Wednesday.
Students led by college principal T Malathi, Vice Principal G Samatha, faculty members Erroju Venkateshwarlu, Padmaja, NSS Programme Officer K Geetha Rani, Swapna, Kavitha, officer superintendent T Suresh Kumar and others paid floral tributes by garlanding the portrait Kaloji Narayana Rao.
On this occasion, the speakers recollected that Mr Kaloji Narayana Rao, a literary giant and staunch advocate of Telangana’s cultural and political identity. They said that Kaloji’s life and works are a testament to his unwavering commitment to the Telangana cause. His poetry and activism amplified the voice of the people, showcasing the rich cultural and literary heritage of the region to the world, they added.
