

KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 28, 2025: One of the myths surrounding the government degree college students is that they are less creative. However, the students of Government Degree College for Women, Karimnagar town, have defined the trend.


The students showcased their talent by displaying various models which also reflects the creative might of the students and the faculty members of the college at the Feria Fiesta organised on the college premises.
Collector Pamela Satpathy along with Additional Collector Prafulla Desai inaugurated the fiesta and went round all the stalls and interacted with the students and inquired about the different models presented by the students. On her arrival the NCC cadets presented guard of honour.
The students had set up a total of 160 stalls. The students also conducted fun games. The Medicover Hospital in Karimnagar town conducted a medical camp for the benefit of students by the college Health club. The women empowerment wing had set up over 40 stalls serving different varieties of Telangana food and dishes. The students also participated in colourful cultural programmes and captivated the audience.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector congratulated the students for their creativity and talent. Appreciating the college for providing education to 2,700 girl students and emerging as the best women’s degree college in the north Telangana region, she assured all assistance for the college in future. She also informed the students to focus on their chosen careers and excel.
The Collector directed Girl Child Development Officer Kruparani ensures that all the Intermediate students visit the GDC women in Karimnagar town so that they would be exposed to the college and choose their degree courses in the college. Principal T Varalakshmi, Fiesta convenor R Mogili, coordinators and others were also present.
