Children’s Day celebrations in SNS by classes 1 and 2
HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 14, 2024: Children’s Day, or Bal Diwas, is celebrated every year on November 14 in India, a day dedicated to cherishing the innocence, dreams, and future of the country’s young generation. It is celebrated every year on the birthday anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was known to have been fond of children. Children used to call him “Chacha Nehru” with love. He used to believe that children are the future of the nation and that we all must protect and nurture them with love and care.
Children’s Day celebrations at Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, was an event filled with fun, joy and vibrant energy. Children of classes 1 and 2 wore colourful outfits for the celebrations.
Celebrations began with a warm welcome to the Principal of the school Dr T Lalitha Kumari. All the teachers of classes 1 and 2 participated actively in the programme enlightening the importance of Children’s Day. Furthermore, the programme was followed by a message-oriented skit. Teachers took the role of students and showcased a wonderful skit depicting the importance of discipline one has to follow in their life.
In addition, there was a storytelling role played by teachers. Finally, the programme concluded with a dance performance by teachers and all the children tapped their feet to the beat ‘Manasilayo’. Addressing the gathering Principal of the school Dr T Lalitha Kumari and the Correspondent of the school Mr Harihara Prasad wished all the children on the account of Children’s Day.
The Children’s Day celebration for classes 1 and 2 was not only entertaining but also a wonderful way to teach young students about friendship, respect, and joy. By the end of the day, their faces beamed with happiness, reflecting the joy and appreciation they felt. Chairman Dr Sudhakar Rao Polsani conveyed his greetings and wishes to the students.
