Utmost priority to devotees’ safety and amenities
Comprehensive action plan in coordination with TTD and district administration
TIRUPATI, SEPTEMBER 09, 2026: TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary stated that TTD, the Tirupati District Administration, Police, and all related departments are making extensive, coordinated arrangements to conduct the Tirumala Srivari Brahmotsavams grandly and without any inconvenience to pilgrims. The AEO, along with the District Collector, District SP, and other officials, inspected the Brahmotsavam arrangements in Tirupati.
Speaking on the occasion, TTD Additional AEO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary said that in view of the heavy rush of devotees at Tirumala, special arrangements are being made to enable pilgrims to comfortably witness the deity’s Vahana Sevas. He mentioned that facilities such as parking, holding points, Annaprasadam (free meals), drinking water, toilets, rest areas, and public transport would be made available at key locations across Tirupati. An action plan has been formulated to make real-time decisions based on dynamic crowds and situations. An integrated Command Control system will be set up so that the District Administration, TTD, Police, Municipal, Transport, Health, and other departments function as a single unified team.
He added that based on experiences from previous Brahmotsavams, necessary modifications and additional arrangements have been made, placing the highest priority on safety and comfort for devotees. A dedicated response team is being prepared to address social media updates immediately, alongside disaster management and emergency response teams. He expressed confidence that all departments will work collectively to make the upcoming festival a grand success.
Holding Points and Display Screens for Devotees – District Collector
Tirupati District Collector Dr. S. Venkateswar stated that extensive joint arrangements are being made by TTD and the district administration. Parking and holding points will be set up across various locations in Tirupati to regulate the flow of pilgrims heading to Tirumala based on congestion levels. In these holding areas, large screens will display live feeds of the Vahana Sevas, while Annaprasadam, drinking water, toilets, and other essential amenities will be provided.
The Collector highlighted that the district administration is taking all necessary steps in continuous coordination with TTD to ensure smooth execution without any hardship to pilgrims.
Comprehensive Surveillance via Cameras and Drones – District SP
Tirupati District SP Sri L. Subbarayudu said TTD, Police, Revenue, and District Administrations are working in close unison. Given the limited parking space at Tirumala, designated parking hubs are being set up at strategic points in Tirupati, with RTC shuttle buses deployed to transport devotees to Tirumala. As part of crowd management, key hubs including the Railway Station, Bus Stand, Alipiri, and Srivari Mettu will be monitored continuously via cameras and drones connected to the Tirupati Command Control. He added that the outer and inner ring roads in Tirumala will be managed efficiently, with nearly 3,000 CCTV cameras deployed for safety and crowd monitoring.
Strengthened Security Measures – TTD CVSO
TTD Chief Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) Sri Muralikrishna noted that parking, transit, and security measures across Tirupati were inspected to ensure a seamless experience for the large influx of pilgrims. TTD Vigilance and Security, Police personnel, and RTC staff will work together at these sites to deliver enhanced services.
He stated that security screening at the Alipiri Tollgate as well as the Alipiri and Srivari Mettu trekking routes is being bolstered. ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) and FRS (Facial Recognition System) cameras installed at Alipiri have been linked to the Tirumala Integrated Command Control Centre, equipped to flag over 1,500 listed offenders from the database. He added that command control and sub-control units across Tirumala and Tirupati have been interconnected to monitor vehicular movement and parking availability constantly.
Earlier, TTD Additional AEO Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary chaired a review meeting with officials at Sri Padmavathi Guest House in Tirupati, where officers delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation on parking, traffic, and transport logistics.
Following the meeting, officials conducted ground inspections at Devalok, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Alipiri Checkpoint, and other key holding areas.
TTD JEOs Dr. A. Sharath and Sri P. Gopinath, CE Sri Mahanoram, VGO Sri Giridhara, and other officials participated in the event.
