HYDERABAD, MARCH 16, 2024: Former IPS officer Bahujan Samaj Party state president Dr RS Praveen Kumar has announced resignation to the BSP with ‘heavy heart’.
In his X post, Mr Praveen Kumar stated: “With heavy heart I have decided to leave the BSP. I don’t want the image of this great party suffer because of recent decisions (no matter how well informed they are) in Telangana under my leadership. At the same time I also don’t want to compromise on certain core principles and personal character. It is for the BSP to decide the future course of action in Telangana”.
Mr Praveen Kumar also thanked Mayawati for trusting and guiding throughout. He also reiterated that he would tirelessly work to transform Bahujans, which is my lifetime mission.
On the other hand, Mr Praveen Kumar met former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao in Hyderabad to discuss about his future course of political action. The sources said that the former IPS is likely to join BRS and contest from Nagar Kurnool parliament constituency on BRS ticket.
