The Minister inaugurated CRPF buildings worth ₹26 crore at Kalikiri in Chittoor district.
He inspected the new Officers’ Mess, Subordinate Officers’ Mess, Recreation Club, Store and Tradesmen Block buildings.
He also enquired about the facilities being provided to CRPF officers and jawans.

TIRUPATI, AUGUST 17, 2026: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has inaugurated the newly constructed complex of buildings at a total cost of ₹26 crore, including the Officers’ Mess, Subordinate Officers’ Mess, Recreation Club, Store and Tradesmen Block at CRPF centre at Kalikiri in Chittoor district on Monday.
The Officers’ Mess was constructed at a cost of ₹9.47 crore, the Subordinate Officers’ Mess at ₹7.9 crore, the Recreation Club at ₹4.9 crore, and the Store Block at ₹4.55 crore. It is noteworthy that Minister Bandi Sanjay dedicated these buildings to the nation.
The programme was attended by CRPF ADG South Zone Ravideep Singh Sahi, IG Dinesh Pratap Upadhyay, Brigadier Anupam Sharma, DIG Subhash Chandra Sharma, Chief Engineer C.N. Suresh, and other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that the Central Government is taking several initiatives to further strengthen the infrastructure and facilities provided to the CRPF. As part of these efforts, we inaugurated the Officers’ Mess, Subordinate Officers’ Mess, Recreation Club, Store and Tradesmen Block today. These facilities are not just concrete buildings. They represent the government’s commitment to improving the welfare, comfort and working efficiency of our jawans. We all know that the welfare of our forces, who remain on duty 24 hours a day to protect the country’s internal security and sovereignty, is a top priority for the government.
“You are performing your duties by even risking your lives for the security and sovereignty of the country. Therefore, it is the government’s responsibility to provide you with the best possible, world-class facilities. The facilities inaugurated today will make your daily life easier and more comfortable. They will also provide officers with a place to discuss their strategies and spend some peaceful time after performing their demanding duties”, he stated.
The Recreation Club will organise various activities for the mental and physical well-being and recreation of our jawans. The club will help our brave personnel reduce stress, spend time together, and gain fresh energy through games and sports. The Store Block and Tradesmen Block will help in safely, systematically managing and storing important equipment and resources. These modern buildings will further improve the performance and operational efficiency of the force. The Tradesmen Block will provide a better working environment for our hardworking staff.
