

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 25, 2025: The Child Protection Committee has conducted an organised awareness meeting to educate students on important safety topics. The camp covered subjects like kidnapping, missing children, the Juvenile Justice Act (JJ Act), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, self-defence, cybercrime and school van safety regulations etc.

On Tuesday, such camp was conducted at the 22nd sector in Subhashnagar locality at Savavaran Street in ICDS Karimnagar Urban unit. Speaking on the occasion, ICPS Swapna said that enlightened the gathering about the importance of eradicating of child labour, protecting of children and completely reducing dropouts of students from schools
Mahesh, a representative from Child Helpline, enlightened the people about the importance of dialling toll-free 1098 for children in need and protection. Anganwadi Supervisor Rajamani, Anganwadi teachers Roja, Vanaja, Sushmitha and Manga, RPs Verangi Kalpana, Mathi Shyamala, ASHA workers Alwala Swapna, Verangi Bharathi, committee members retired CI Ramuly, Mathi Harish, Gundam Srinivasd, Karne Srihari, Karne Srilatha, Rodda Rakesh and others were also present.
