KARIMNAGAR, MAY 28, 2025: District Education Officer Ch VS Janardhan Rao has been surrendered to the government for making derogatory comments on women teachers during the valedictory programme of the ‘Capacity building’ for the in-service teachers at Alphores e-techno school in Kothapalli of Karimnagar town on May 24, 2025.
Following the unparliamentary language and derogatory comments against the women teachers by the DEO, the women teachers have met Collector Pamela Satpathy and submitted a memorandum demanding stern action for hurting the sentiments of the women teachers. The reported comments of the DEO went viral on social media
The Collector ordered an inquiry into the issue. Following the submission by the inquiry committee, the Collector issued orders by surrendering the DEO to the government. She stated that the DEO had used unparliamentary language, misogynistic and derogatory words towards women.
The Collector issued orders giving DIET College principal S Mondaiah with full additional charge as DEO. The new DEO S Mondaiah, assumed charge on Wednesday.
