So far 79.4 percent employees exercised their postal ballots
Out of a total of 6843 postal ballots, 5434 employees cast their votes and remaining 1409 should complete the process on May 10, the last date.
KARIMNAGAR, MAY 09, 2024: District Election Officer and
Collector Pamela Satpathy has called upon all the government employees associated with essential services to cast their vote through postal ballot during the parliament elections and achieve 100 per cent polling of postal ballots.
The Collector visited the St Alphones high school in Karimnagar town to inspect the postal ballot polling process for the employees on Thursday. Out of a total of 6843 voters, 5434 employees had exercised their franchise with a percentage of 79.4 per cent. Another 1409 employees had not cast their votes.
Stating that Friday (May 10) was the last date to exercise the postal ballot, the Collector informed all the government exercise their franchise and achieve 100 per cent polling. Informing the officials to motivate the staff deployed for the polling duties to exercise their franchise, she said that each and every employee should cast their vote through postal ballot. She also directed the polling personnel to take necessary measures to avoid mistakes. ZP CEO Srinivas, general manager (industries) Naveen Kumar, Karimnagar rural tahsildar Naveen Kumar and others were also present.
