RAJANNA-SIRCILLA, AUGUST 14, 2024:  In the wake of the Telangana State Government banning the use of cellular phones in the schools during school hours, as the government had clearly instructed the teachers and students not to carry mobile phones into the classrooms, the faculty members of ZPHS Jillela in Thangalapalli mandal of the district have embarked upon an innovative idea of depositing their mobile phones in specially designed shelves.

Instead of depositing the mobile phones on the desk of the school headmaster, the teachers have decided to deposit the same on their respective enclosures of the cellphone deposit centres in the school.  It may be recalled that school teachers are allowed to carry their mobile phones to their classrooms only if they have interacted with flat panels (IFP) classes. Otherwise, they have to deposit their phones with the respective school headmasters like in a cloakroom.

ZPHS Jillela headmaster Anuradha said that in order to ensure proper depositing of the cellular phones at the office of the headmaster, the school teacher had designed a novel concept. He had designed special cells for every teacher to deposit their mobile phones along with their names and collect them later after school hours. Incidentally, the specially designed shelves with names of the teachers were drawing attention among the teachers and others in the school and another part of the district through social media.
