HYDERABAD, JUNE 01, 2026: Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao announced that the Employees Health Scheme (EHS) will be implemented through a dedicated Employee Health Care Trust, which will be constituted within the next couple of days. The operational guidelines for the formation and functioning of the Trust will be formulated after incorporating the suggestions and recommendations made by representatives of various employees’ associations.
The Chief Secretary made these remarks while chairing a meeting with members of the Joint Staff Council and representatives of various employees’ associations at the Secretariat on Monday. The meeting focused on the modalities for strengthening and streamlining healthcare services for government employees, pensioners and their dependent family members.
Addressing the representatives, Mr Ramakrishna Rao stated that the State Government, under the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, is firmly committed to ensuring accessible, quality and hassle-free healthcare services for serving employees, pensioners and their dependent family members across Telangana. He emphasised that the proposed Trust would serve as a robust institutional mechanism to deliver healthcare benefits efficiently and transparently.
The Chief Secretary clarified that a separate bank account would be opened exclusively for the Trust and that it would be operated with equal financial contributions from both the Government and employees. He further informed that the Trust would function with full autonomy and be empowered to take decisions independently in the best interests of beneficiaries.

Shri Ramakrishna Rao assured the representatives that the Government values the welfare of its employees and pensioners and is taking all necessary measures to establish a sustainable and responsive healthcare system. He said that the suggestions received from employees’ organisations would be carefully examined and incorporated while finalising the operational framework of the Trust.
Representatives of various employees’ associations welcomed the initiative and offered several constructive suggestions regarding the governance structure, financial management, service delivery mechanisms and grievance redressal systems to ensure the effective functioning of the proposed Trust.
Among those who attended the meeting were Special Chief Secretaries Benhur Mahesh Ekka and Dana Kishore; Principal Secretaries Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Christina Zongthu and Yogita Rana; Secretary, Revenue Department, Lokesh Kumar; representatives of employees’ associations including TGOA President Eluri Srinivasa Rao, TNGO President M. Jagadeeshwar; Chairman , TGE JAC & President, Deputy Collectors’ Association President Lachchireddy, Deputy Collectors associations K Rama Krishna, General Secretary, Deputy Collectors associations S. Ramulu , President,Tahsildars associations, Ramesh Paka , General Secretary, associations, V RajaShekher, President, TPUS, Pentaiah General Secretary TPUS STF President D. Saidulu; and other representatives of various employees’ organizations attended the meeting.
