KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 15, 2026: Bhagavathi High School in Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar town, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour on Saturday.
The morning began with the ceremonial flag hoisting by school chairman B Ramana Rao, followed by the National Anthem. Earlier, the students also participated in rendering the national song ‘Vande Mataram’.
The special assembly featured speeches, songs and performances by the students. The school campus reverberated with the slogans of Bharat Matha ki Jai, Mera Bharat Mahan, Jai Jawan Jai Kisan etc. The tiny tots captivated the audience by donning the roles of various freedom fighters. The students also enthralled the audience with their dance performances on patriotic songs.
The students, along with their teaching faculty members, also participated in the meditation camp for peace of mind and improving concentration levels.
On this occasion, Mr Ramana Rao said that ‘Independence Day at Bhagavathi School is not just a tradition – it is a reminder to our students that they are the torchbearers of our nation’s values and its progress’. The event concluded with a collective pledge by students and staff to contribute to a progressive and inclusive India. School Director B Vijayalakshmi, Vice Principal P Ram Mohan Rao and others were also present.
