Bengaluru-based couple adopts five-months-old orphan girl as per legal process in Karimnagar

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 08, 2024: A five-month-old orphan girl, who has been residing in the Karimnagar town-based Sishu Gruha, the childcare institution, was adopted by a childless couple from Karnataka state as per mandatory procedures governing the adoption of children in Karimnagar town on Thursday.

The childless couple from Bengaluru of Karnataka state had earlier applied for legalised adoption of child online through the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare’s website and completed the legal adoption process, sources said. The recognised agencies and the authorities concerned facilitated the legal adoption process in strict compliance with the stipulated procedures.

Collector Pamela Satpathy has formally handed the infant child to the Bengaluru-based childless couple. A certified copy of the adoption order was also issued to them. District Welfare Officer Saraswathi, PO Tirupati and others were also present.
