KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 28, 2025: Two families of Karimnagar town have adopted their family members’ children as part of the in-country relative adoptions, where family members adopt a child, which are now streamlined under updated regulations in India.
The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) has introduced new modules for in-country relative and step-parent adoptions, aiming to reduce processing time. These changes are part of broader efforts to enhance alternative family-based care and ensure children have secure and supportive homes.

Collector Pamela Satpathy has issued the adoption letters to the barren couples and also to the children. On this occasion, the Collector has advised couples to adopt children through a legal process to avoid complications. DWO Saraswathi, DCPO Parveen, LCPO Raju and others were also present.
