Bandi Sanjay demands Congress to prove its sincerity by implementing six guarantees

Alleges that KCR was confined to his quarter in Delhi when the Telangana Bill was passed in the parliament

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 10, 2024: Bharatiya Janata Party national general secretary and Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Sunday asked the Congress government in Telangana to prove its sincerity by implementing all the six guarantees which it had promised during the recent assembly elections.

“The Congress is left with just four days for fulfilling its guarantees. The state cabinet is going to meet on Tuesday. If it has sincerity, it should approve all the remaining guarantees and release funds accordingly,” Sanjay said, while addressing the gathering at Malyala town as part of his Prajahitha Yatra.

Giving a break-up of the funds required for the guarantee schemes of the Congress, the BJP leader said the government should release Rs 2,500 to each of 1.5 crore women under Mahalakshmi scheme, Rs 15,000 per acre to each of  50 lakh farmers under Rythu Bharosa, Rs 12,000 to each of 15 lakh agriculture labourers, Rs 500 per quintal of paddy as bonus, Rs 5 lakh to each of 25 lakh families for construction of houses under Indiramma housing scheme and 250 square yards of housing plot to the families of Telangana martyrs.

Similarly, under Cheyutha scheme, an amount of Rs 4,000 has to be paid to every eligible senior citizen, physically challenged and widows and Rs 5 lakh assistance to every eligible student under Yuva Vikasam.

“All these are part of the six guarantees given to the people by the Congress during the elections. You have included them in the manifesto and promised to implement within 100 days. You have only five days to fulfil your promise. Decide whether you stand by your word or betray the people’s faith,” Sanjay said.

Reacting to Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president K T Rama Rao’s allegations that Sanjay had never attended Lok Sabha sessions and asked any questions pertaining to Telangana, the BJP MP challenged KTR to go through the Lok Sabha records.

“It was your father KCR who had been irregular to Lok Sabha. When there was a heated debate in Parliament over the historic Telangana bill, KCR had not even participated in the voting, but was confined to his quarters fully drunk. You should feel ashamed talking about me. If you have guts, take out the Parliament records to compare by participation in the debates with that of your BRS MPs,” Sanjay said.

On the proposed “Kadana Bheri” public rally by the BRS at Karimnagar on March 12, the BJP president the people had already defeated the BRS in the last battle. “Yet, the BRS is shamelessly getting ready for another war. The people will not forgive you, unless KCR tenders unconditional apology to them for all the misdeeds he had committed during his regime,” he added.

Sanjay reiterated that he would continue to speak for the Hindus and Hindutva, come what may. “The BJP is the only party which has taken up cudgels on behalf of the Hindus. The Congress and the BRS leaders are afraid of me, because I speak for Hindus and Lord Ram. I don’t hesitate to ask the people to vote for the Modi government for constructing Ram Mandir,” he asserted.
