Annual sports day celebrated at Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar town with enthusiasm and energy

KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 01, 2025: Annual Sports Day titled ‘Kreedotsav-2025’ themed “Play, Compete and Triumph,” featured a wide range of sports and cultural activities that showcased the student’s talents and skills was conducted at Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) in Karimnagar town on Saturday.

Students participated with lots of enthusiasm and energy. From track and field events like sprints and relays to traditional games like tug-of-war, every student had a chance to shine. The highlight was the final relay, where students from different grades collaborated to showcase their unity and determination.

The event was graced by Chief Guest V Srinivas Goud, DYSO, Guest of Honour  Gasireddy Janardhan Reddy, General Secretary of the Telangana Judo Association,  the Director (Academics) Dr T Lalitha Kumari, and Principal Renuka Balivada.

The celebrations began with a torch relay by the students who represented the school in the national level sports events, followed by a march past by the students of the four houses, accompanied by Tableaus that showcased their creativity. The drill performances were a major highlight of the event, with students showcasing their skills in various drills, including ribbon, flag, flower, bamboo, and hoop drills.

The students also performed yoga and karate, demonstrating their flexibility and martial arts skills. Additionally, they showcased their skills in dancing in synchronized steps around the pole and pyramid formation, highlighting their strength, balance, and teamwork.

The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honors emphasized the importance of sports and physical fitness in students’ lives. Dr Lalitha Kumari highlighted on the fact that parents and teachers equally foster children’s holistic learning

The celebrations concluded with the announcement of the overall championship, a memento presentation, and a vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. The event was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the students. The Chairman of the school, Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani appreciated the children’s enthusiasm and hard work in making the event a successful one.
