Advocates informed to treat DV Act victims with empathy

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 30, 2024: The Karimnagar District Legal Services Authority secretary Venkateshwarlu and District Welfare officer Saraswathi reviewed the progress of cases registered Domestic Violence Act, 2005, with the advocates, who were appointed by the government as legal aids, at Sakhi One Stop Centre in Karimnagar town on Tuesday.

On this occasion, they informed the concerned to ensure early justice to the victims of DV Act by providing necessary assistance including maintenance etc. They informed the advocates to provide justice to the womenfolk with empathy and not to collect any fees from the victims, who had approached them. Sakhi centre administrator Damera Lakshmi, legal counselor Sandhya Rani, DV Act social counselor Padmavati and others were also present.
