Advita International School secures IGCSE affiliation from Cambridge University

First international school in Karimnagar to secure IGCSE affiliation till High school

KARIMNAGAR, JULY 16, 2024: The Karimnagar city’s education landscape is embracing a new academic trend with Advita International School, Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar, has emerged as the first school in the district to adopt International General Certificate Secondary Education (IGCSE) of Cambridge University, United Kingdom from this academic year onwards.

Disclosing this to newsmen here on Tuesday, Advita International School chairman Sowgani Komuraiah said that “we are really proud to announce that the Cambridge University had affiliated our school with IGCSE curriculum from this academic year onwards till tenth class”. Though, there are some schools affiliated with IGCSE, but they were confined to primary sections only and Advita International school secured affiliation till tenth class, he added.

He said that the Cambridge curriculum offers hands on experience and it is completely different from CBSE or state board syllabus and added that Cambridge syllabus is not accepted in aboard but also in Indian universities. The parents who moved from abroad or from other metro cities in the country prefer Cambridge curriculum since their children have studied and are fully aware of the system. Another advantage is that the Cambridge curriculum is offered a lesser fee when compared to other metro cities, he stated.

Stating that Cambridge curriculum includes regular five subjects such as English, Maths, Sciences etc, he said that the IGCSE provides courses in humanities, human resources, critical thinking, extensive English language study and more. The course is designed to broaden the students perspective globally and also promotes overall development of the students personality, he maintained.

Advita International School had completed 10th year and entered into the 11th academic year, he said and thanked the support of parents, teachers and the media for their support to securing the IGCSE affiliation to the school. School Director Anudeep Sowgani, school faculty members were also present.
