She promised to transform 20 govt schools as smart classrooms in Karimnagar district
KARIMNAGAR, JUNE 25, 2024: Collector Pamela Satpathy along with film actress and founder of Teach for Change Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna has formally inaugurated digital smart classroom for the benefit of students of Government primary school (Pochampally), Kothirampur, Karimnagar town on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed the students to utilise the facilities provided by the state government and also voluntary organisations and excel in education. Stating that the government was taking all measures to transform the government schools on par with corporate educational institutions, she called upon the students to accord priority to their mother tongue language along with English and other subjects. She thanked the noble gesture of Teach for Change organisation for transforming the government schools by providing digital classrooms for the benefit of poor students.
Manchu Lakshmi assured the student community that they would support and strive to fulfil their dreams in education. Teach for Change founder chairperson Lakshmi said that they had decided to develop 20 primary schools as Smart classrooms in the district. Recollecting her association with the Collector, she said that she would ensure that the classes learnt by her daughter in corporate school would be taught to the students of the government schools.
She said that she had developed 50 schools as smart classrooms in Yadadri district when Collector Pamela Satpathy was working in the district. Additional Collector Praful Desai, DEO Ch Janardhan Rao, corporator Marri Bhavana, Planning officer Abdul Bhari, Teach for Change COO Ayub, headmastegrs Sampath Rao and Satish and others were also present.
