HYDERABAD, JULY 18, 2025: Sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau have trapped an Assistant Labour Officer, Mancherial, FAC, Sirpur Khagaznagar, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a complainant at his residence on Friday.
Officials said that Assistant Labour Officer Katam Ram Mohan has demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs 50,000 for processing and forwarding the complainant’s application to higher authorities for sanction of accidental death claim and funeral charges in connection with the death of the complainant’s brother, who was a registered building construction labourer and passed away.
In another incident, Yelagandula Bhavani, Deputy Tahsildar, Mulugu Mandal, Siddipet district, was trapped for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakhs for doing an official favour of processing the pattadar passbook of the complainant.
