HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 17, 2026: Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women (BRECW), Hyderabad, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, has formally inaugurated a three-day workshop on “UAV Technology for Eco-Friendly Environmental Sustainability” from 17 to 19 September 2026.
The workshop is being conducted in the Telugu regional language under the Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages (VAANI) – 2026 scheme, sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The programme aims to create awareness and enhance the technical knowledge of faculty members, postgraduate students and research scholars on the emerging applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology for environmental monitoring, sustainability and eco-friendly technological solutions.
More than 60 faculty members, postgraduate students and PhD scholars from various engineering colleges across Telangana are participating in the three-day programme. The workshop will provide participants with an opportunity to interact with experts and gain practical insights into the latest developments and applications of UAV technology.
During the three-day workshop, eminent experts and resource persons from Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), industry and academic institutions will share their expertise and knowledge with the participants. The sessions will focus on contemporary UAV technologies, their applications and their potential contribution towards environmental sustainability.
The workshop also seeks to promote the use of regional languages in technical education, making advanced technological concepts more accessible to learners and educators while strengthening the integration of Indian languages into higher technical education.
All participants who complete the programme will be provided with an AICTE certificate, along with useful information and relevant study material.
The Principal, Vice-Principal, HOD, Coordinators- Dr B. Sridhar and Mrs G. Srilakshmi expressed confidence that the workshop will provide a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, capacity building and collaboration among academic institutions, industry experts and researchers in the emerging field of UAV technology and sustainable environmental applications.
