HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 06, 2024: Teacher’s day was celebrated on 5th September 2024 in Sister Nivedita School , Ameerpet with glee and amusement . Students decorated their classes aesthetically and surprised their teachers .
Girls of classes X and XII adorned in traditional sarees and boys in full pants and tucked shirts donned the role of teachers and conducted the assembly. They welcomed the Teachers with bouquets, an outstanding cultural programme was conducted to emphasise the inexorable role of Teachers in shaping the students’ life. Then the classes began with the student teachers taking classes and making it lively and interesting . Morning session was taken up by students of middle school and have shown their respect towards teachers through songs, dance and many more.
The afternoon session was marked by an entertainment program hosted by the High school and senior secondary students .They presented a variety of cultural program and conducted games for the teaching and non-teaching staff, gifts were given to each and everyone . The highlight of the day was a touching speech given by the head boy of the school who spoke about the invaluable role played by teachers in a student’s life. The presence of the Principal Dr. Lalitha Kumari Thota and correspondent Rtn. Shri. Hari Hara Prasad added color to the programme . Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani sent his greetings to the staff on the occasion.
It was an enchanting occasion that strengthened the bond between teachers and students . The celebration reaffirmed the school’s ethos of mutual respect and reminded everyone of the noble profession of teaching . The Principal owed the success of the event to the hard work put in by the students and considered it a testimony to the organizational skill that they have acquired over the years. She also remembered the services done by Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishna , the second President of India and threw light on his contributions which are inspiring . She also emphasised on the importance of Teachers by telling that there is no dearth of knowledge in an era of technology but teachers not only impart knowledge but also wisdom and critical thinking skills ,life skills which can make them successful. She applauded the teachers of SNS for their relentless efforts in educating the students and ensuring their all round development.
The warm gathering and kind words visibly moved the teachers. Mrs Krishna Priya PGT Maths and Mrs CH Nagamani , Administrative Dept were. Felicitated for their longstanding services in SNS .To add a crown to the program the management of the school delighted the teachers by giving them cash incentives.
