Yadadri will now be called Yadagirigutta: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy

HYDERABAD, NOVEMBER 08, 2024: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has instructed the officials to rechristen Yadadri as Yadagirigutta in all official records and also in force in daily usage.

The Chief Minister visited the Yadagirigutta temple shrine on Friday and offered prayers to the presiding deity on the occasion of his birthday. He was accorded a traditional welcome by the priests.

Later, the Chief Minister held a review meeting on the development of  Yadagirigutta Temple – the abode of lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy with the authorities concerned. He said that the government had decided to constitute the ” Yadagirigutta Temple Board” . Officials have been asked to take necessary steps to establish the Temple Board on the lines of TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam).

The Yadagirigutta Temple Board should be established equal to the status of TTD after a complete study of the Tirumala Board, he said and instructed the authorities to introduce a special policy for Cow Protection in Goshala. Leverage the technological innovations for Cow protection, he added.

Reminding that the facility for sleeping of devotees on the hill of the Holy Shrine was provided earlier, he ordered the officials to take measures and make required arrangements for devotees to sleep on the hill and pay obeisance to God.

He also directed the officials to speed up the works for the completion of gold plating for Vimana Gopuram before Brahmotsavam. The authorities have been asked to complete the pending land acquisition related to the development of the temple and ordered the officials to grant the required funds for it.

All the pending works in the temple should be completed immediately, he said and instructed the officials to come with complete details and proposals in a week’s time to take steps to complete the pending temple works.

He asked the authorities to submit a comprehensive report on the pending works and other issues.  Ministers N Uttam Kumar Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Tummala Nageshwar Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, Konda Surekha, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari and others were also present.
