
TIRUMALA, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026: On the first evening of the annual Brahmotsavams, Sri Malayappa Swamy in the guise of Vaikunthanadha, flanked by Sridevi and Bhudevi, took out a celestial ride on the Peddasesha Vahanam.
The grand seven-hooded serpent carrier, often believed to be Adisesha, marched swiftly along four mada streets carrying the deities to bless devotees.
TTD Chairman Sri B R Naidu, EO Sri Ravichandra, Additional EO Sri Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna and others were present.

Colourful art forms during Pedda Sesha vahanam
The colourful Cultural performances by various troops from nine states enthralled devotees in Tirumala in front of Pedda Sesha Vahana seva.
Tirumala turned into a vibrant cultural spectacle on the first evening of ongoing Brahmotsavams with 19 cultural teams comprising 549 artistes from 09 states entertaining devotees with traditional music, dance and folk performances.
Artists from Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Maharashtra, Manipur, Puducherry and Uttar Pradesh presented a variety of cultural programmes that captivated the devotees gathered in Tirumala.
The performances of Kuttrala Kuravanji, Assam’s popular Bihu dance and Tamil Nadu’s traditional Oyilattam were the major attractions of the day.
