

KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 29, 2025: Arvintree High School, Vasudeva colony, Karimnagar, celebrated Ugadi, the Telugu New Year, with great euphoria, portraying the meaning of the festival by organising various programmes on Saturday.

The theme of the celebrations was Sri Viswaavasu Nama Samvatsara Ugadi vedukalu. The blend of talent and information along with beautiful competing, was seen through the session. The children were dressed in traditional attire. The students explained the significance of the Ugadi festival through a skit. The students’ Panchaga Sravanam (reading of almanac) set a positive tone for the celebrations, filling the atmosphere with optimism and hope for the New Year.
The rich cultural heritage of Telugu traditions was depicted simply and engagingly. Children were excited to showcase their talents and sang melodious songs of the Ugadi festival and danced to the tunes of traditional songs. The students read the almanac and won accolades. School chairman B Ramana Rao had specially appreciated a student, Sahasra Nandan,a for reading the names of 60 Telugu New Year’s at the programme.
