Ugadi celebrated with traditional gaiety at Arvintree School

KARIMNAGAR, APRIL 06, 2024: The Students of Arvintree High School, Vasudeva colony, Karimnagar town, celebrated the Telugu New Year (Sri Krodha nama samastharam) well advance on their school campus by participated in various programmes on Saturday.

With the festival falling on Tuesday, the tiny tots of the school have arrived in their traditional attire and participated in the celebrations after offering prayers to the Goddess Saraswathi. The school campus was decorated with ‘thoranams’ and flowers.

The teachers participated in the preparation of ‘Ugadi pachhadi’, the special dish made of tamarind juice, coconut, jaggery, neem floers, raw mango pieces and other ingredients. They also explained about the preparation of delicious ‘Bakshalu’ or ‘Boppatlu’ and eating them with ghee.

School chairman B Ramana Rao explained the importance of Telugu new year Ugadi and exchanged greetings to the children. He explained that the Ugadi Pachhadi represents the bitter and sweet experiences of the life.
