TIRUMALA, OCTOBER 05, 2024: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has instructed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) authorities to reduce the VIP culture and there should not be any compromise in service to the common devotees and everyone should respect the sentiments of devotees and act accordingly.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with the TTD officials on various activities at SPRH on Saturday. He emphasised that the devotees feedback on TTD services should be focused and special efforts be made to collect their opinions and study its feasibility for implementation.
He asked the state endowment minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy to implement the feedback mechanism from the devotees at all premiere temples on the lines of Tirumala to improve facilities for pilgrims. The Chief Minister instructed the TTD officials to focus on elevating and promoting the glory, sanctity and the devotees faith in the Tirumala shrine and only ‘Govinda Nama Smarana’ should resound in Tirumala.
He said that Tirumala is the holiest spiritual hub of the country and as such one should strive to enhance the glory of lord Sri Venkateswara and also the sanctity and serenity of Tirumala. Devotees should go home with good memories of their spiritual experience at Tirumala, he asserted.
Among others, he directed officials to make an advance plan on water availability, increase forest coverage from the present 72% to 80% with a 5-year plan, Bio-diversity protection measures of TTD forests, continue the quality of laddu and Anna Prasadam as devotees are happy with present standards with the use of best quality raw materials in preparation of laddu and Anna Prasadams.
He also suggested enhancing the standards of Srivari Seva by training sevaks with prominent spiritual organisations and improving their services to pilgrims. Besides TTD EO J Shyamala Rao and Additional EO Venkaiah Choudhary, all department heads participated in the review meeting.
